The wooded hills around Hobbs were one of the last strongholds for the now extinct Passenger Pigeon. Park Interpreter Chris will take you back to the late 1800’s when pigeoners made their living harvesting what was possibly the most abundant bird in the world and discuss the efforts to save other species before it’s too late.
