John C. Barry’s background is in television, theater, and music. He wrote, directs, and plays a role in his production, “Looking for Lola”
that will be presented at Hobbs State Park Saturday November 5th. Barry’s play is a dramatic comedy about the daily adventures of the fictitious modern day Martin family who live in Springdale, Arkansas.
Seven local actors from Rogers, Bella Vista, and Bentonville play nine different roles in a relatable, and heartfelt look at the twists and turns of a typical four-member family’s seemingly ordinary life. The surprise comes as secrets are uncovered when looking for Lola becomes so important and meaningful. “Looking for Lola” is a warm look at humanity that you won’t want to miss.
